DOESN'T WORK & CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE

I give this chopper a 1 and customer service a 0. While I love the features of this little chopper, I can't separate the black ring on the top of the lid from the clear plastic bottom part of the lid in order to clean between the two lid parts. I called customer service and get ready....they told me they cannot provide me with a replacement lid because it is not a functional issue, that I have to figure out how to remove the black ring, that if it breaks I can call them back and that's when they WOULD CONSIDER replacing it. Are you kidding me?!? I even cut my finger trying to separate the two pieces after that phone call. I have many Kitchen Aid appliances and was going to get another one for x-mas but not now. Good bye Kitchen Aid....hello Cuisinart or pretty much any other appliance company.
P.S. Both manuals that come with the food chopper do not include any instructions on how to separate the lid parts. One would think they shouldn't need to detail something so simple...until it doesn't work as it is supposed. Very disappointing.

It works better than the mini cuisinart food processor and a somewhat bigger bowl size works also. I like the big blades on this unit, but I don't like the the lid design. The one thing that it does great is grated up carrots just right for salads. Though it kinda stain the bowl" I soak it in bleach for 20 minutes and it remove the stain.

Saw this chopper for the first time on QVC. I end up buying this chopper from a local store a few weeks ago to chop up some pecans to add to my cream cheese frosting for my red velvet cake. Excellent chopper. I did have trouble dissembling for first time use washing, but if you read the instructions, which I didn't in the begining,you shouldn't have trouble.

This little chopper is like a mini food processor. Works great on on anything you want to chop quickly in smaller quantitu without getting out the big one.

I bought this in December because I had a recipe that required a food processor. I picked this up and it worked perfectly! Turnd cookies into crumbs and beautifully minced pecans. Years ago I had a competitors small chopper years ago and it just wasn't good. It wasn't as solid, couldn't grind down far enough, and had an uneven chop. I'm very happy with my little KitchenAid Food Chopper!

This was a Xmas gift and I have used it so many times since. This is a real time saver, prepping veggies for soups, stews, slow cooker, and stir fry. Bonus, I can also make salad dressing and Hollandaise. It is so compact, easy to store and clean. I love this little guy!
